Hélène Leriche

Currently Biodiversity and economics manager of the association OREE, Hélène Leriche leads multi-stakeholder working group discussions on these issues. She applies an approach to complex systems that she learned during her veterinary studies and her ecology PhD. She then developed her approach during her research and lecturing work, as a scientific advisor and head of programs with the Nicolas Hulot Foundation. At the interface between science and society, she has worked on funding policy for biodiversity research at France’s national biodiversity institute (IFB - Institut Français de la Biodiversité), in multi-stakeholder working groups set up by the strategic orientation committee (COS - Conseil d’Orientation Stratégique) and was on the board of the biodiversity research foundation (FRB - Fondation de Recherche sur la Biodiversité). Eager to share and nurture knowledge, she is involved in a number of different circles and media. Notably she and Pierre-Henry Gouyon co-directed the book "Aux origines de l’environnement" (Fayard).
